Help

• The map shows two things: colour-coded paths rated by contributors, and place markers such as playgrounds, cafés and toilets.
• Drag to pan and pinch to zoom.
• Search: tap the search icon (top-right) to find a place or street by name. Choosing a result flies the map there and opens the place if Pramble knows it.
• Find Places Here: move the map to a new spot, then tap “Find Places Here” to discover places nearby.
• Locate me: tap the locate button (top-right) to centre the map on where you are.

• Place types: playgrounds, picnic areas, benches, viewpoints, nature spots, baby-changing facilities, toilets and parking — plus food & drink such as cafés, restaurants, pubs, bakeries, coffee shops and bars.
• Open a place: tap its marker to open a card with its name, category and address (for eateries), or who added it and when (for community-added places).
• Ratings: the card shows community ratings for the things that matter for that place type, each on a 1–5 star scale.
• Aggregated ratings: each category shows the average star rating from everyone who’s rated, with the number of parent experiences underneath. “Be the first to rate” means no one has ranked it yet.

• Pram (green) — smooth, step-free and easy with a pram.
• Carrier (orange) — easier with a baby carrier than a pram, for example steep or uneven ground.
• Avoid (red) — difficult or impassable with a pram.
• Stairs (blue) — steps interrupt the route.
• Tap any coloured path to see a breakdown: a ring shows the most common rating and its percentage, with how many people contributed.
• Contributors can add optional details: surface (Paved or Gravel) for Pram; conditions (Steep, Muddy, Uneven, Obstacles) for Carrier and Avoid; and railing (With or No railing) for Stairs.

• Tap the filter button (top-right) to choose what’s on the map.
• Combine anything: route types, place types, food & drink, “good to know” amenities, and Highly rated.
• Tap Show to apply — only the types you’ve selected appear on the map.
• Tap Clear all to remove every filter and see everything again.
• Your picks are a draft until you press Show, so closing the sheet without showing leaves the map as it was.

Tap the Contribute button at the bottom of the map.

• Mark a Path: rate a path you already know. Pick a type (Pram, Carrier, Avoid or Stairs) and any optional details, then tap the map to drop points along the route. Pramble snaps your points to real streets and paths. Use Undo to remove the last point or Reset to start over, then Save. You can change the type between legs.
• Record a Walk: record as you walk. Pick a type, press Start, walk, and change the type if conditions change. Pramble follows your phone’s GPS and matches you to the road and footpath network. Press Save when you finish.
• Add a Place: pick a place type, then tap the map to place it. Pramble checks for nearby duplicates so you can add to an existing place or create a new one. For food & drink, Pramble searches nearby venues — choose an existing one or name it yourself, then add your amenity ratings.

After you contribute, your path or place appears on the map for everyone and is saved to My Activity. If a route can’t be matched to known paths while recording, Pramble offers a free-trace option.

While marking or recording, tap the compact icon to switch between full and compact card layouts. If you exit with unsaved changes, Pramble asks whether to save or discard them.

• Open a place and tap “Rate this place” (or “Change your rating” or “Be the first to rate”).
• Give 1–5 stars on each category, then add an optional comment. Tap Save rating. 1 star means poor, 5 stars means excellent. Tap the info icon next to a category to see what 1★ and 5★ mean.
• Each place type has its own set of four categories:

Your rating joins the community average. You can update it any time. When enough parents leave comments, a short community summary appears at the top of the ranking.

• Open My Activity from the menu.
• See the paths you’ve contributed, grouped by each save, with the date and time, whether you Recorded or Marked them, the number of segments and the category mix.
• See places you’ve added, with their location and the date you added them.
• Tap a path to view it on the map. Select and delete contributions you no longer want.

• You can browse, search and view ratings for free, without an account.
• Sign in with email, Google, Apple or Facebook.
• An account lets you contribute ratings and places and track everything in My Activity.
• If you try to contribute as a guest, Pramble asks you to sign in, then takes you straight back to finish what you started.

• Every accurate contribution helps another family. Rate paths you’ve actually walked and add places you’ve genuinely visited.
• Spot something wrong? Open the place, tap the ⋯ menu and choose Report to flag incorrect information, a duplicate, a place that no longer exists, or a wrong location.
